Internationally renowned sci-fi stars Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary), Lexa Doig (Andromeda, Continuum), Rukiya Bernard (Yellowjackets, Van Helsing), and Ryan Robbins (Riverdale, Sanctuary) join journalist Sabrina Rani Furminger for a live taping of the award-winning YVR Screen Scene Podcast in front of an audience in the recently re-opened VFS Cafe.

The April 27 taping is the first in a new event series called YVR Screen Scene Live @ VFS. The series – which will run every two months – invites industry insiders, fans of #BCFilm, and VFS students to experience a taping of Sabrina Rani Furminger's award-winning podcast about the Vancouver film and television industry from a ringside seat.

The event will feature a live-taping of the podcast, during which Sabrina and the quartet of Vancouver-based actors – all of whom have worked significantly in the science fiction entertainment realm – will discuss everything from their “actor origin stories” to the various joys and challenges of working in the genre sphere, before opening up to audience questions. Following the taping, attendees are invited to buy beverages at the VFS Cafe's well-stocked bar and take photos on the red carpet.

"The YVR Screen Scene Podcast celebrates our community, and this taping is a community event," says Sabrina. “Actors, filmmakers, crew, fans, film students: we are all part of YVR Screen Scene."
